BUTLER, Ohio-A 17-year-old girl, an intern with the Butler Tech criminal justice program, was accused of bringing contraband (drugs and a cell phone) into a jail. Jail documents reported that federal inmates contacted her multiple times regarding the contraband. She admitted to the offense, leading to her arrest in March. Despite her attorney’s attempt to withdraw her confession, it was denied by a Butler County judge during a recent hearing. The case is now set to proceed to trial, with another hearing scheduled for July 15.
