April 17th, 2024-KIRTLAND, Ohio-A high school junior named Walter Knoop, working towards becoming an Eagle Scout, led a project to install a gaga ball pit at Kirtland Elementary School. Gaga ball is a fast-paced dodgeball-like game popular among younger scouts. Knoop chose this project to bring happiness to kids and promote healthy competition.
He organized volunteers, sought funding, and coordinated with school officials. The school principal expressed excitement about the addition, emphasizing its inclusivity and engagement for many students at once. Knoop is still completing requirements for Eagle Scout rank, which he believes will benefit his future plans.
