A large crowd is expected to participate this week in the inaugural Springboro Schools Back to School Bash ahead of the first home football game. The event from 5-7 p.m. Friday by the high school baseball field is a way for for students, their families and staff from all six schools to celebrate the start of the new school year together, said Wendy Grothjan, district mental health coordinator, who organized the bash with Leslie Christofano, K-12 coordinator of instructional supports.
