Lebanon 2026 Forward Anthony Thompson Transferring to Northeast Ohio Program

LEBANON, Ohio -Anthony Thompson, a standout basketball player from Lebanon High School, will transfer to Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, for the upcoming school year. Thompson, a 6-foot-7 forward and one of Ohio’s top players in the 2026 class, has received numerous college scholarship offers from prestigious institutions. Western Reserve Academy, an independent boarding and day school for grades 9-12, offers a competitive environment for Thompson’s continued development.

Although not a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association, the school provides an opportunity for Thompson to train alongside highly recruitable players. Lebanon’s athletic director, Keith Pantling, expressed pride in Thompson’s achievements and acknowledged the benefits of his transfer for his athletic growth. Thompson, who received Division I honorable mention all-state recognition and was a first-team all-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selection, looks forward to this new chapter in his basketball career.
