Kevin Milliken, a public information officer with LCCS, emphasizes that the funds will help cover rising costs associated with child welfare services, particularly for children entering foster care due to severe circumstances. He stresses the importance of investing in these children to provide them with a chance at a successful future. If the levy fails, LCCS may have to cut services, negatively impacting the level of care for children in need.
