LIMA, Ohio-A student from Lima City Schools attempted to cross Market Street from the high school grounds and was struck by a car traveling on the road. Lima City Schools Superintendent Jill Ackerman, present at the scene, reported that the student was alert and responsive. However, the student was transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
