LIMA, Ohio-A Lima Senior High School student was struck by a car on Market Street after school dismissal. Lima City Schools Superintendent Jill Ackerman, present at the scene, reported that the student was hit while attempting to cross the street from the high school grounds.
Although the student was alert and responsive, they were taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. The driver of the car was not cited as the student did not use a crosswalk to cross the street.
