The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement in Northeast Ohio Dec. 9 hosted STEM Goes Red, an interactive educational program designed to encourage young women to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The event took place at the NEW Center at NEOMED in Rootstown.
More than 220 students from across Youngstown, Akron and Canton had the opportunity to gain firsthand experience by connecting with female industry leaders and experts, while learning about various STEM career paths including medical research and health care.
