Local Schools Unite for Pink Out Game to Support Cancer Awareness

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-The Indian Lake Lakers and Benjamin Logan Raiders teamed up for the first official local Pink Out football game since the COVID-19 pandemic to raise awareness and funds for cancer support in Logan County. Held at Laker Stadium last Friday, the event featured participation from the Logan County Cancer Society and the Mary Rutan Foundation. They provided information on cancer detection, treatment, and financial assistance for local patients. The event was filled with pink-themed displays, from student sections wearing pink to athletes sporting pink accessories. The community contributed through t-shirt sales, a bake sale, sponsorships, and donations, raising about $5,520 for the Cancer Society. The funds will help cover essential expenses for local cancer patients.
