Loudonville Schools Fires Custodian for Over-Recording Hours on Time Card

LOUDONVILLE, Ohio-The Loudonville-Perrysville Exempted Village Schools board of education unanimously approved the termination of a custodian, Donnell Bird, after an investigation revealed over 36 hours of uncompleted work recorded on their time card between Sept. 8 and Sept. 25.

Superintendent Jennifer Allerding discovered the discrepancy through various means, including personal observation, building video surveillance review, and timesheet analysis. Bird was notified of the intent to terminate on Oct. 6 and had a due process hearing before the board on Oct. 9, which took place in executive session. Following the executive session, the board unanimously approved the resolution to terminate Bird’s employment, effective Oct. 10.
