Man Arrested After Being Found Inside Choffin After Hours

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio-John Oramas, a 60-year-old man, was arraigned in municipal court on a charge of breaking and entering after being found inside the cafeteria of the Choffin Career and Technical Center. He was discovered just after 11 p.m. by officers responding to an alarm call. Oramas was found sitting in the dark with whipped cream on his hands and lips, surrounded by various food items.

He claimed he was “just taking a break” when questioned by police. Video footage showed Oramas taking food from the kitchen. Bond was set at $5,000 during the arraignment, and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 8. Mike Saville, director of Choffin Career & Technical Center, confirmed the break-in but stated that there was no damage to the facilities and that no one was harmed.
