At 3 p.m. Nov. 14, officers reported to Aldi, 6217 SOM Center Road, on a report of a vehicle’s engine running with a baby, and no one else, inside. Officers found the black Mercedes on the north side of the Aldi parking lot. A baby was inside and could be heard crying. Officers opened the car by using a tool and checked on the baby. They called an ambulance as a precaution, although no treatment was needed.
