Last week, Jill DeMando posted a simple request on Facebook, asking if people could please send Valentine’s Day cards to her 7-year-old son Vinny, who’s being homeschooled this year.
“I didn’t want him to feel left out,” she said.
She never expected what happened next.
“It started and then it exploded,” DeMando said, watching as her son opened card after card in the Massillon mayor’s office.
