CINCINNATI, Ohio-As Cincinnati Public Schools students return to class on Wednesday, the district has partnered with Cincinnati Metro for busing services. Nearly 92,000 students will use Metro buses this year, including 1,200 seventh and eighth-graders who are now required to take the city bus if they don’t have alternative transportation. Students will receive Smart Cards for free rides, which will help track their movements for safety purposes. Metro emphasizes safety with cameras on buses and at transit centers, and police detail at some locations. Metro staff will assist with trip planning during the first few days of school.
