JACKSON, Ohio-Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost stated that “monsters belong behind bars” following the conviction of Eric Dearth, 56, on three counts of rape involving a victim under 13. Yost announced Dearth’s life sentence, which allows for parole after 30 years. If released, Dearth must register as a Tier III sex offender. Yost remarked that Dearth will soon be forgotten, leaving behind only the impact of his crimes.
