BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-Bellefontaine senior Oliver Moreland has received the National Merit $2,500 Scholarship, chosen from over 15,000 Finalists nationwide. Moreland, a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, entered the program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT.
His selection as a finalist required meeting various criteria, including academic record, extracurricular involvement, leadership, and honors. Moreland, who scored perfectly on the ACT and SAT, will study computer science at Harvard University. Bellefontaine City Schools is proud of Moreland’s achievement, noting his humble and compassionate nature. Moreland is the 43rd National Merit Scholar Finalist at BHS, with several other commendations in the school’s history. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation funds scholarships through their own resources and contributions from businesses and educational institutions.
