A Columbus mother accused a day care employee of physically abusing her 5-year-old son after she discovered unexplained marks on his body earlier this week. Angela Mayes, whose son has attended the day care for three years, said she became alarmed after picking him up and witnessing what she described as troubling behavior by a staff member. She said she later noticed bruising on his arm, stomach, shoulder and armpit.
