CLEVELAND, Ohio- In a recent update, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health revealed a concerning development: an outbreak of MPOX (formerly known as monkeypox) within the county. From February through April 23, a total of nine cases have been documented. Of these, six cases were reported within the Cuyahoga County Health jurisdiction, while three were reported by the Cleveland Department of Public Health.

As of the latest update from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, the reported cases of MPOX (formerly known as monkeypox) have not included children. All documented cases have involved individuals ranging in age from 17 to 44 years old.
