Multiple Tri-State Schools to Dismiss Students Early or Close This Week Amid Extreme Heat

DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio-Due to extreme heat this week, three Tri-State school districts have adjusted their schedules:

– Lockland Schools: Closed its Main Campus for the remainder of the week due to construction and lack of air conditioning. Staff will still report, but students will not.

– Oak Hills Local School District: Will release students early at Oak Hills High School, Delhi Middle School, and Bridgetown Middle School from Tuesday through Friday. Early dismissal times are 12:30 p.m. for the middle schools and 12:48 p.m. for the high school due to inadequate or no air conditioning.

– Finneytown Local School District: Will release students in grades 7-12 early at the secondary campus from Tuesday through Friday at 12:50 p.m. Finneytown Elementary, which has air conditioning, will operate as usual.

Both districts are adjusting outdoor activities to ensure student safety.
