ALLIANCE, Ohio-As the school year approaches, Ohio is offering a tax-free weekend for school supplies, which helps alleviate some financial stress for families. To further support the community, the Purple Plane Clothing Company is hosting the 11th Annual Purple Plane Community Days in Alliance. The event, organized by Jerrell Martin in memory of his late brother Tru’Maine Neal, will take place on August 10 at Thompson Snodgrass Park from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will feature free school supplies, along with hair braiding, nail painting, face painting, food, community resources, haircuts, and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Registration for the tournament starts at Noon.
