CINCINNATI, Ohio-The Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children is being introduced in Ohio this year to ensure that children from lower-income families have access to meals during the summer months when schools are closed.
Families with children aged 6-18 can receive one-time payments of $120 to purchase groceries in June, July, and August. The program aims to fill the gap left by the absence of free or reduced-price meals typically provided by schools during the summer. Applications for the program are being accepted through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce and the Department of Job & Family Services.
