WESTLAKE , Ohio-In Ohio, a newborn baby was discovered by a Good Samaritan lying in the grass, still connected to its unconscious mother via the umbilical cord. Both parents, Chanel Mueller, 42, and John Bratsch, 35, face charges after the baby was found outside a hotel in Westlake, Ohio. The baby was rescued by a passerby who cut the umbilical cord and tended to the infant until paramedics arrived. Mueller and Bratsch were charged with child endangering, a misdemeanor, and Bratsch also faces additional warrants for parole violation, drug possession, and traffic offenses. Their pleas have not been reported yet.
