Nickel and Diming? Undercutting Safety? Middletown City Schools Addresses Recent Spending Scrutiny

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio-Middletown City Schools (MCSD) Superintendent Deborah Houser is addressing criticisms from city council members who claim the district is not a good partner with the city. MCSD, which occupies part of the city government building, has been accused of poor communication and abrupt decision-making regarding a new school security contract that includes five school resource officers (SROs) for the year, down from six in previous years.
