Ohio has Momentum to Address Child Care Crisis, But so Far no Solution, Children’s Agency Head Says

April 17th, 2024-COLUMBUS, Ohio-Governor Mike DeWine’s recent proposals and reforms aimed at addressing issues in Ohio’s troubled child care system are viewed as a positive step forward by the head of the state’s new agency focused on children. However, experts at an Ohio Chamber of Commerce child care summit emphasize that substantial government funding will be necessary to effectively address the challenges of a child care workforce shortage and rising costs.
