COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio-A bomb threat was made against Northwest High School and Colerain High and Middle Schools, following a lockdown at Northwest due to nearby police activity. The threat, sent via email, was investigated by Colerain police and deemed not credible, allowing classes to continue as normal at Colerain schools, though a heightened police presence was established as a precaution. Northwest High School was closed on October 31, following the lockdown triggered by two individuals confronting a student, with a weapon recovered off campus. Principal Alex Shrewsberry communicated with parents, acknowledging the concern caused by the lockdown and the need for a supportive environment upon students’ return.
