COLUMBUS, Ohio-A 17-year-old boy has surrendered to police in connection with the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Taarah Griffin-Carmichael in south Columbus on November 18. Police received a 911 call about an injured person but no location was given. Griffin-Carmichael was later taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Highview Landing. The teen has been charged with murder, but the details leading up to the incident remain unclear. Authorities are seeking additional information from the public.
