CINCINNATI, Ohio-Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is addressing food insecurity with a new initiative in collaboration with Kodiak Cakes. They are donating nearly 30,000 meals to school programs in Athens, Ohio, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Cincinnati, with each program receiving 9,999 meals to honor Burrow’s No. 9 jersey number. This effort is part of The Joe Burrow Foundation’s mission to tackle food insecurity and support children dealing with mental illness and underprivileged communities. Burrow’s commitment to this cause is longstanding, evident from his Heisman Trophy speech and previous fundraising efforts, including a $1.3 million grant to various organizations and over $1 million raised through the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund.
