REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio-The Reynoldsburg School District in Central Ohio is proposing a tax increase to address financial shortfalls. The district, which has not requested an operating levy in 14 years, is seeking an emergency operating levy to raise $8.5 million annually. This comes as federal pandemic funding expires and the district faces a deficit while dealing with increased mental health needs among students. The levy would cost $233 annually for the owner of a $100,000 home. Superintendent Dr. Tracy Reed emphasized the district’s commitment to transparency and is hosting town halls to answer questions from parents and voters.
