ROSS, Ohio-The Ross Local School District announced a two-hour delay for all schools due to a vehicle crash that damaged major power lines, leaving the main campus without power. Morning kindergarten and preschool classes were canceled. Butler Tech’s transfer bus from the high school, however, is operating on time. Duke Energy reported that about 300 households were affected by the outage, primarily south of Millvale, with initial estimates for power restoration set for around 8 a.m. By 9 a.m., the number of outages had decreased to 115 households, but restoration for those homes was rescheduled to 2 p.m. The district has asked for patience as they provide further updates.
