April 15th, 2024-CINCINNATI, Ohio-Seton High School announced Scott Smith as its new varsity head basketball coach, succeeding Mark Lucas. Smith brings nearly 20 years of coaching experience, having coached at various local high schools including Oak Hills, Harrison, and Mercy McAuley.
He also served as a program coordinator and coach at St. James White Oak basketball program for over 15 years. Smith expressed enthusiasm for the position, emphasizing his dedication to developing the program’s long-term goals and fostering individual and team improvement. Seton’s athletic director, Wendy Zureick Smith, highlighted Scott’s experience and expertise, affirming his selection as the best candidate for the position. Seton achieved a 13-11 record, including 6-2 in the Girls Greater Catholic League, in the past season.
