STOW, Ohio-The Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools board voted 3-2 to hire Felisha Gould, the current assistant superintendent of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights schools, as the new superintendent starting Aug. 1.
The decision was made during a special meeting attended by over 100 people, with the majority expressing support for Kristen Prough, the district’s interim superintendent. Despite concerns from parents, teachers, and staff, the board proceeded with Gould’s hiring. Prough, remaining optimistic, stated her commitment to supporting Gould and maintaining the district’s excellence.
