FAIRBORN, Ohio-Parents were informed that a student brought a “replica gun” to Fairborn Intermediate School last week. Principal Tammy Gendreau sent a letter clarifying that the student no longer had the weapon when the report was made but had previously brought it to school. The student has been removed from class pending an investigation, with a recommendation for expulsion. Gendreau emphasized the school’s safety plans and reminded parents to discuss the strict no weapons policy with their children. This incident follows a series of threats at other schools in the area, including arrests for similar offenses.
