ASHTABULA , Ohio-A new two-week course at Ashtabula Technical and Career Campus is introducing students to aviation basics, aiming to prepare them for the FAA’s glider test for private pilots. The program has sparked interest in aviation among students, including 15-year-old Annelise Robar, who was unaware of aviation as a career option. The course not only teaches piloting skills but also highlights the potential for a career in aviation, a field expected to have over 16,000 job openings annually for the next decade. Students completing the course will earn a student pilot license and can further their education in aviation. The program, developed in partnership with The Grit, aims to cultivate future aviation professionals from a young age.
