GROVEPORT, Ohio-Groveport Police released body and cruiser camera footage capturing two 17-year-olds fleeing police and crashing their car, dating back to April. The videos depict numerous vehicles leaving a warehouse parking lot in Groveport’s business district.
Police Chief Casey Adams stated that the department received several service calls regarding reckless driving activities in the area. The pursuit began after a Groveport officer attempted to stop a Dodge Challenger for a traffic violation, prompting the vehicle to speed away, weaving through traffic. Adams expressed concerns about the behavior, labeling it as a reckless joyride for the teenagers involved.
