CINCINNATI, Ohio-FC Cincinnati secured a 1-0 victory over Atlanta United as 19-year-old forward Kevin Kelsy scored for the second consecutive match in his first start. Kelsy’s header, assisted by Luciano Acosta, gave Cincinnati the lead in the 7th minute. Goalkeeper Roman Celantano recorded his league-leading fifth clean sheet of the season with just one save.
Cincinnati has won five consecutive matches and boasts a 6-1-1 record on the road. Atlanta United, despite Brad Guzan’s four saves, suffered their seventh winless match, falling to 3-6-3 overall and 0-3-2 on the road. While Atlanta still leads the all-time series, Cincinnati remains unbeaten under manager Pat Noonan, improving to 3-0-3.
