CLEVELAND, Ohio-Trinity High School in Garfield Heights went into lockdown on Monday after receiving a threatening voicemail indicating someone planned to “shoot up the school.” The message was received around 9:45 a.m., prompting school officials to contact the Garfield Heights Police Department. Classes were canceled for Tuesday, and the school plans to reopen on Wednesday. During the lockdown, police remained on site and implemented a family-by-family dismissal process to ensure students were safely returned to their families. Authorities assessed the threat and determined it was not credible. Police will continue to be present at the school for added safety.
