Toledo Public Schools Students Learn About Careers in Public Safety, Service Through Program

TOLEDO, Ohio-PS419 at Bowsher High School offers students practical skills for careers in public safety, including CPR training. Created in 2021 through a Toledo city and Toledo Public Schools partnership, the program has benefited over 150 students.

Participants can earn college credits and are prepared to join safety departments post-graduation. Equipment donations from local departments enhance training opportunities. Students like Alijha Allen and Alexander Hinds appreciate the program’s vocational focus and career readiness.
