Trumbull County author uses writing to help children overcome fears

Edward Novotny, a Warren area native, released two children’s books, “I’m Brave at Bedtime” and “I’m Brave on Halloween,” with hopes that his work could help children face their fears. Novotny, a father, said that writing the books came from “a deeply personal place.” He stated that a near-death experience and being placed into a medical coma before he was a teenager helped him see the importance of being brave.
