COLUMBUS, Ohio-Columbus State Community College (CSCC) and Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) have partnered to enhance student access and affordability while addressing the teacher shortage in Ohio. The partnership consists of three programs: Tuition Match, Teach Now, and an expansion of the Preferred Pathway program.
The Tuition Match program allows qualified CSCC graduates to complete their bachelor’s degree at OWU while paying the same tuition as their final semester at CSCC. The Teach Now program offers an accelerated teacher licensure pathway, enabling high school students to combine College Credit Plus/Dual Enrollment classes with OWU’s education program, leading to a bachelor’s degree and teaching licenses in as little as two years.
The Preferred Pathway program ensures seamless credit transfer for qualified CSCC graduates to enroll at OWU and earn their bachelor’s degrees. These initiatives aim to lower barriers to education and provide faster pathways to degree completion and teacher licensure.
