The Van Aken district is a popular spot for people to enjoy food and drinks but an increase in unchaperoned children in the dozens is causing management to require an adult after 8 p.m. “There’s also a lot of nights of the year where it’s just a general night. We’re not prepared for mass crowds. And over the course of the last few years, we have seen in the summers a general uptick in the amount of unchaperoned youth that come to Van Aken,” said Jesse Rathner, the general manager of the Van Aken District.
