Waterford, Fort Frye Students Conduct Car Washes

BEVERLY , Ohio-Students from Waterford and Fort Frye High Schools participated in community service activities as the school year came to a close. At Waterford High, students washed cars to raise funds for the Roger French Memorial Scholarship, honoring a beloved former teacher.

Meanwhile, Fort Frye’s FFA chapter held a car wash to support members attending a leadership conference in Washington, D.C. Other activities included helping at the Beverly Fire Department, cleaning gravestones at Beverly Cemetery, and preparing the Beverly-Waterford Pool for the season. Teachers and students alike appreciated the opportunity to give back to their community, with Community Day being a welcome change of pace before the end of the school year.
