WEST HOLMES, Ohio-At the New Concord Division II Regional, three West Holmes athletes secured spots in the upcoming OHSAA State Championships. Kyle Maltarich qualified in the high jump, Casey Ogi in the pole vault, and Katherine Kaster in the 1,600-meter run.
Maltarich, an All-Ohioan last year, clinched victory with a clearance of 6-feet-5. Ogi secured her first state appearance with a mark of 10-4, earning the fourth spot. Kaster secured her spot with a fourth-place finish in the mile, crossing the finish line in 5:12.54. Additionally, senior Jacob Miller achieved a podium finish in the 3,200 with a time of 10:01.74.
