WHITEHALL, Ohio-Charity Dreyer, a 21-year-old woman from Whitehall, is in the Franklin County Jail facing child endangerment charges following the death of her 9-month-old daughter. Police responded to a report of a child not breathing and found both of Dreyer’s daughters, aged 9 months and 2 years, with injuries that did not appear accidental. The 9-month-old later died at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, while the 2-year-old has been placed in protective custody. Charging documents allege that Dreyer abused or tortured the children, resulting in serious harm. The investigation into the infant’s death is ongoing.
