CINCINNATI, Ohio-Hours after graduating from Withrow High School, 18-year-old Lamon Wiggins was killed in an overnight shooting near the school campus. Police found him shot in the neck and chest, and he was pronounced dead at UC Medical Center.
The community, including local advocates and alumni, mourns his loss and calls for an end to violence. Cincinnati Public Schools released a statement expressing sympathy and support for Wiggins’ family and announced that the Crisis Response Team will be available at the school for support.
