CINCINNATI, Ohio-Woodward High School boys basketball coach Michael “Bruiser” Holmes has resigned to accept an assistant coaching position at Miles College, an NCAA Division II program in Alabama. Holmes, who recently took over as Woodward’s coach in June, cited the opportunity as a dream come true and a chance to create more opportunities for Cincinnati student-athletes. Malcolm Hicks Sr., a long-time assistant coach, has been named interim head coach while Woodward searches for a permanent replacement. Holmes previously coached at Gamble Montessori, leading them to significant achievements including a district final appearance and surpassing 100 career wins.
