CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio -A juvenile from Brook Park has been arrested after leading Chester Township police on a high-speed chase on October 16. The incident began around 9:16 p.m. when officers spotted the vehicle speeding on Mayfield Road. As traffic slowed, police were able to catch up and run a registration check, but the suspect then accelerated to 108 mph into Gates Mills, nearly causing a head-on collision. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but abandoned the chase due to the high speed. Subsequent investigations identified the driver, who has been charged with reckless operation and fleeing and eluding, and referred to the Geauga County Juvenile Court.
