COLUMBUS, Ohio-A 2-year-old boy sustained critical injuries in a shooting on Sunday night in Columbus. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 4000 block of Carlton Avenue on the city’s east side. Columbus police, due to the severity of the injuries, have assigned their homicide unit to investigate. The boy was outside with his mother when shots were fired from a passing car, described as a four-door grey or silver sedan. Police have not made any arrests and have not disclosed information about suspects or motives in the shooting. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.
