A state appeals court has overturned the convictions and sentence of a Cheviot woman who a jury found guilty of abusing her stepson and dismissed the case entirely.
The decision released Friday by a three-judge panel of Ohio’s 1st District Court of Appeals came more than a year after Amy Rodriguez was sentenced to at least three years in prison.
Rodriguez, 47, was found guilty in November 2023 of four counts of child endangering, although the jury acquitted her of seven other child endangering counts.
