MAPLETON, Ohio-The Ashland County Community Academy (ACCA) is upgrading its outdated security systems, including cameras running on Windows Vista and aging servers. After applying for grants from Ohio’s K-12 School Safety Grant Program, ACCA received $50,000 in January and an additional $50,000 recently. The funds will be used to update cameras, servers, locks, tinted windows, and radios, addressing long-standing security deficiencies. ACCA also received a $15,000 grant from the Ashland County Community Foundation, aiding in their comprehensive security upgrades.
