BUILDING FUTURES: COLUMBUS CITY PREPARATORY SCHOOL FOR BOYS AND MY BROTHERS KEEPER TEAM UP FOR INNOVATIVE SUMMER MANUFACTURING CAMP

COLUMBUS, Ohio-During the Summer Youth Manufacturing Camp at Columbus City Preparatory School for Boys, rising sixth grader Souleymane Niang and 24 other students engaged in hands-on activities aimed at introducing them to manufacturing careers. Organized by My Brother’s Keeper and open to boys and girls, the camp partnered with The PAST Foundation to provide experiences like designing and using 3D printers to create objects. They also visited local manufacturers and facilities like Bath and Body Works and The Ohio State University College of Engineering. Led by experts like Ryan Petitti, who emphasized the dynamic nature of engineering, the camp aimed to inspire students while teaching them essential skills like problem-solving and resilience.
